How I got into this field as a VA specialty loan officer started with my previous experiences buying a home with my VA Home Loan benefit. I barely knew about how my benefit worked or what it was. It felt like I was thrown into a conveyor belt and next thing I know, I was done.

After doing my own research, I realized there was so much more I could have done with my benefit that no one ever told me about. Eventually, I stumbled upon the lending side of real estate and realized that this where I can truly effect change in my military and veteran community. I could provide real world experience of my own and provide education on maximizing the benefit. Something that most military members never receive.

After a few years, I realized I had to not only service that military and veteran community. I was up against the narrative surrounding VA Loans. My goal is that with each VA client we serve, we can start changing the narrative on VA loans and that it’s amazing program, which has it’s unique aspects and can be just as good any other home loan program as long as it’s done the right way.

At the end of the day, team work and collaboration is necessary to help our service members get into a home they worked so hard to earn.
